European Economic Congress in Katowice

IBBC Group had a pleasure to take part in the 3rd European Economic Congress in Katowice. It was the biggest business event in that part of Europe. During those days Katowice was a host to the prominent politicians and entrepreneurs keen on innovations and current economic tendentions, like the Prime Ministers of Poland, Croatia, Czech Republic and Hungary and the chairman of European Parliament Jerzy Buzek, who headed the Program Board of the Congress. During the dozens of panel discussions thousands of participants debated on energetics, mining, infrastructure, economics, food market, health and many other branches of economy. Our delegation was especially interested in the meetings concerning the perspectives of railways (series of panels devoted to such important topics like the strategies of carriers), energy market (e.g. an attempt to answer the question: are the pure coal-based technologies the future of Poland?), innovative economy, financial matters and a very educative panel discussion concerning economy and investment in Georgia.

Bearing in mind our all those experiences, we are already looking forward to the next year Congress.
